After the success of Kindle Fire, which has seen 54% of market share in tablet category,what other markets can Amazon enter? Rumour has it that Amazon is after the smartphone market now. And why shouldn’t it be?

Citigroups Mark Mahaney, in his report last year has claimed that Chinese factories have stared working on Amazon phone which will hit the market in Q4 2012 at a price of $150-$170.

Rumours  are also suggesting of Facebook phone coming up, so it points more and more every day to an impending grab at a smartphone market by Amazon

Today Microsoft’s one of the Top Executive said that the Release Preview version which would be the almost complete version of Windows 8 would be launched by the first week of June 2012.

More than 1 million copies were downloaded in the first 24 hours of the release of the beta version of Microsoft much awaited Operating System Windows 8.

Microsoft has started out with it development cycle for Windows 8 for a Release Preview version promising the consumers for the much awaited version of the operating system. This was announced by the company at a developer’s conference in Japan. This release would be an extension to the preview of the first peek of what this operating system can do. The earlier version dubbed as ‘Consumer Preview’ was released on February 29.

Intels Ivy processors launched

Intel has launched their highly anticipated Ivy Bridge processors having 3D Tri-Gate Transistors. Intel has now moved on from 32nm sandy bridge processors to more efficient and more powerful 22nm processors. The initial launch of processors will be seen in desktops and full sized laptops, while the ultrabook style computers have to wait till spring for the processors. The new chip will increase the performance by 37% while using up 20% less power.
